Needless to emphasize that the 'Shiv Puran' comprises the most authentic information about Lord Shiva. In this book, the whole treatise has been converted into small stories for an easy understanding of our readers. Most of the details which are already mentioned in our 'Vishnu Purana' have been briefly narrated to refresh the same at times, there appeared some confusion about the details which have been mentioned in the footnotes to clarify the same. Since most of these stories are allegorical in genre, their true significance has also been suggested within the parenthesis. It consists of a detailed explanation of the Shiv Puran.
