Alternative Dispute Resolution

The amendment of the Act on Consumer Protection has brought another possibility to resolve a consumer’s dispute against a trader if the two parties fail to agree on an acceptable compromise at first. In February 2016 the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz) became one of mediators and it is most probable that mainly consumers will use the opportunity when being dissatisfied with the way their claim was settled or refused by a seller of goods or a provider of services.
