In the present book, provides rare information of a series of underutilized and underexploited wild plants growing in diverse environments and having richness in nutrients in one form or the other, protein, amino acids, vitamins or micro nutrients. Each plant species has been spelt out in detail with its local and scientific names, ecology, botanical description, type of part in use, nature of nutrient(s) present and preparations made from it. Some non-traditional preparations of domesticated plants has also been described keeping their potential nutritional value. The book will be useful to a variety of readers such as students and teachers of Botany, Agriculture, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Nutritionists, general public besides spreading awareness about availability of cheap nutritious food resources among key target groups including women, children and tribals.
