This work is a comprehensive account of the condition of women in every walk of life. In order to study the condition of women in China a high-powered Indian delegation visited that country. It is emphasized in the Book that the development activities should be managed by value and vision only. The book deals with the various problems being faced by women and the solutions of the some are given in comprehensive way. There are many challenges and issues in the womens empowerment. For removing these hurdles womens capabilities to promote social transformation needs to be enhanced. Social Activism can also act as a catalyst in the womens progress. The womens movements can also play an important role. For all this social innovations are required. India still has a long way to go to build better network for Human Rights. As far as the women are concerned Human Rights violations are a common feature of our society. Indian women herself is thriving on persecution and violence. The Author concludes with a suggestion of a retrospection of womens condition in the 57-year free democratic India.
