Annotation
In 1881, the Comite de Conservation des Monuments de l'Art Arabe (Committee for the Conservation of the Monuments of Arab Art) was established by Khedive Tawfiq to document, register, and preserve Islamic and Coptic monuments in Egypt. The Committee published forty bulletins in total, and these are housed in the library of the Islamic Antiquities Registration Center in the Citadel of Cairo. This is bulletin number 29, edited by Nagwa Metwally. It was originally translated from French to Arabic by a team at the Supreme Council of Antiquities under the supervision of the late Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Tawwab and Amal Al-Amari.
