Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage of the interior of a joint is performed using an arthroscope, a type of endoscope that is inserted into the joint through a small incision. In this book, the authors present topical research in the study of the types, procedures and risks of arthroscopy. Topics discussed include arthroscopic rotator cuff repair; indications and techniques for hip arthroscopy; arthroscopic repair of avulsed triangular fibrocartilage complex to the fovea of the distal ulna; arthroscopic lysis and lavage in Wilkes Stage III and IV disease and office-based knee arthroscopy.
