On March30,1952,a firedestroyed the regimental headquarters in Japan,and everything wasburnedexceptthe regimental colors.Tofurther complicatethe matter, but tocomplywithorders,manyvaluablerecordsweredestroyed toaccomplish whatthey thoughtwascleaningoutuseless files.
