Clostridium Difficile is a gram-positive anaerobic, spore-forming bacterium involved in antibiotic-associated diarrhea and colitis, which is developed after administration of antibiotics. C. difficile is nosocomially transmissible via hospital staff and contaminated environmental surface, as well between patients.
