This is the first of the Eddie and Sir Winston series. The story is about a bright and curious Eddie who finds a stray, know-it-all, talking canine named Sir Winston. Eddie hides Sir Winston in the backyard clubhouse, not making his mother aware of his new friend. After Sir Winston destroys Mamas garden, she questions Eddie. Eddie lies and says he knows nothing. His lies eventually catch up with him, forcing him to tell the truth. Eddie soon learns that honesty is the best policy.
