Maryam Ashkan, PhD opens the book by discussing studio instructors' lived experiences as they pertain to bureaucracy and negotiation, redefinition of professionalism, and means of reform, with the goal of inducing professional development in readers. Next, Joanne V. Harris examines assessors of professionalism in the medical community, attempting to gauge their understandings of said professionalism. Following this, Francine Masson, PhD and Eleanor Ross, PhD presents the challenges social media poses to professionalism due to potentially blurred boundaries. Dalel Bader and Cristobal Salinas Jr then give a review of skills necessary for employability. Finally, Tiina Peterson presents a study examining Estonian preschool teachers' professionalism as it applies to European context in an effort to improve the teacher-training system in Estonia.
