The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is perhaps one of the least-visited places in the world. Geopolitical issues have often denied historians and travelers an opportunity to fulfill their aspirations of visiting this nation. Perhaps the greatest loss is the lack of opportunity to get to know the 25 million people in North Korea as people with emotions, families, traditions, and most of all, a desire for friendship and hospitality.
