In a cozy, pink brick house on Lilac Lane lives a little old lady, Gran LaLa, with the cats who, once upon a time, were strays. Gran LaLa loves the cats who live with her inside the cozy, pink brick house, as well as all of the other animals visiting the big, outside world of her back yard. Gran LaLa named her home Dove Cottage because of the wood pigeons and other birds who dine on her patio. She thought Dove Cottage a nicer name than Opossum, Rabbit, Squirrel, Goose, Hawk, Woodpecker, Blue Jay, Mole, Raccoon, Skunk, Turtle, Chipmunk, Coyote, Frog, or Field Mouse Cottage because dove rhymes with love. Gran LaLa continually fills feeders and scatters seeds on the patio for visitors to enjoy daily.
