I think Pierre is very handsome, dont you? Did youknow that he is one of the most beautiful birds in theworld. The colours and patterns in his tail feathers whenfanned are spectacular to see. Pierre is a male peacock, the females do not have thelong tail feathers like his. Pierres tail has twenty mainfeathers and many hidden feathers which are muchshorter, to help support his fan shaped tail. He can fl ystrongly for short distances, but usually chooses not to. His ancestors come from the Indian sub-continent. He isfrom the pheasant family and eats seeds, grains and smallreptiles. He can now be found in many countries of theworld and Australia is one of them.
