This ongoing series of essays provides commentary on the scientific, societal, and spiritual aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspective of a practicing Pennsylvanian pediatrician. It provides a real-time look at the issues we have faced as a country from the very beginning, in March of 2020, and provides an alternate take on all-things COVID, even suggesting that perhaps the prevailing cognitive biases of the national healthcare authorities - that no case of infection is acceptable, that natural immunity is inadequate and not worth the risk, and that the novel, qualitatively and quantitatively different first vaccines are completely safe and effective - may not be consistent with the facts, and conducive to questionable policy making.
