Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The intention of the authors in the preparation of this book has been to present in as simple terms as possible the fundamental and theoretical principles relating to the-internal combustion engine, and to describe the various methods of applying these principles to practical construction.
