To Mohammed not only was half a loaf better than no bread, but it was better than all the bread of the whole loaf. To him the Old Testament was bet ter than the Old and New Testaments together. He believed that the Will is of more importance, not only than any other single faculty of man, but of more importance than all the faculties and powers of man - reason, affection and will - under the harmonious sway of a predominant passion like love.
