Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. This little volume aims to photograph in its way the forms and styles of correct dress for a gentle man moving in polite society. It will give some hints, gathered from fresh and reliable sources, as to the dress to be worn in the morning, afternoon and evening. It will define or suggest, as needs may be, the fashion of cloth, of linen, or jewelry, and coverings for the head and feet. Such recent changes as have been made in the style of dress in vogue at weddings, receptions, etc., will be indi cated, and where absolute innovations have been ia troduced of late, they will be clearly defined. That this manual may serve a useful purpose to many re quiring the reference of a reliable authority upon the important subject of correct attire, is the earnest hope of the publishers.
