Annotation
D.O.A. and lead singer/guitarist Joe "Shithead" Keithley are legendary in the annals of punk rock history; they are considered founders of the American hardcore punk movement, alongside Black Flag and Minor Threat. D.O.A. has recorded thirteen studio albums and numerous singles and videos; they also appeared the 2006 feature documentary American Hardcore, on the history of the punk music scene in the US. They tour almost constantly, throughout Canada and the US and in Europe and Asia as well; in early 2010 they performed in seven European countries, and in June 2010 completed an Eastern US tour including Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, and Governors Island, NY (across from the Statue of Liberty). Seminal albums by D.O.A. include Hardcore 81 (1981), War On 45 (1983) and Let's Wreck the Party (1985). Their thirteenth album, Talk - Action = 0, was released in 2010. The book's material includes vintage photos, posters, handwritten lyrics, tour schedules, and other associated materials collected over thirty years. The book also includes an introduction by Keithley, and a foreword to be written by a punk music performer, TBA. The book includes 32 pages of full-color images.
